Spain, second quarter 17th century
A stunning large and beautifully carved Spanish column from the second half of the 17th century, adapted (and fully tested) as a table lamp with Pembroke duplex pale cream shade and bronze twisted braid flex. Featuring a classically lavish Corinthian capital progressing to a fluted column and wider period Iberian decorative punched detail in the lower section. Terminating in a later 20th century metal painted base.
This light has been fully tested and certified in the UK and is fitted with a standard bayonet fitting to take up light bulbs from 40W to 100W.
