CARIATIDE COFFEE TABLE BY PETER JECZA - AFTER BRANCUSI
Romania, 1999 - edition 3/8
Two pairs of caryatids, lovers, connecting - one silver, one gold - support each other’s burden “kissing” on the tips of their union, a kiss and fusion sealed by the weight they bear together. Bronze/aluminium, glass top coffee table. One of very few examples of functional sculptures Peter Jecza ever made - inspired by Brancusi’s Cariatide.
